We got it right: Seb Larsson's goal is voted goal of the week (Eurosport.com)

Sebastian Larsson has won our first Premier League Goal of the Week award for his debut stunner forSunderland.


The Swede hit a sensational volley to earn his new club a 1-1 draw against Liverpool at Anfield, and earned 50 per cent of over 25,000 votes in our Eurosport-Yahoo! poll.
Larsson's manager Steve Bruce said after the game: "I’m delighted we’ve got him.
“I had the good pleasure of working with him for three or four years (at Birmingham City) and he’s developed as a player and as a person and we all know we needed to add something to our set-piece delivery.
“Of course he’s one of those manager’s dreams where he gets on with everything, left or right, what a way mark your debut with a spectacular goal like that.”
Larsson left the opposition trailing, withManchester United striker Wayne Rooneysecond on 25 per cent, and Bolton's Gary Cahill on 20 per cent.
Wolves' Stephen Ward and Fabrice Muamba of Bolton made up the five contenders.
Only matches played on Saturday and Sunday were included in the poll, so Sergio Aguero's stonking drive forManchester City was not considered.
