Everton 0 Liverpool 2: Every team's hero is a rival team's villain

Luis 'El Pistolero' Suarez, the 'Hero', couldn't have asked for a better Merseyside derby debut. He created opportunities for Liverpool and found time to nick one in himself.

Rightfully, he could have sued his teammates, had they left Goodison Park without all three points from the game. While he wouldn't wanted to be credited for it, he got Jack Rodwell sent off in the 23rd minute and he cleverly positioned himself for a Phil Jagielka foul inside the box.

Most importantly, he played the full 93 minutes of the game, giving his all. Interestingly, if Kenny Dalglish had stuck with the tradition of pulling Suarez in the 80th minute, he wouldn't have got the second goal in the 82nd minute of play.

As far as Evertonians are concerned, Luis Suarez the 'Villain' is a cheat responsible for the sending off of Jack Rodwell unfairly. He was theatrical in his tumble in the box to get the penalty call (which Tim Howard saved brilliantly). He was flopping the entire game looking for more red card victims.

I say to Evertonians, eat your heart out. You will do anything to have a Luis Suarez wear a blue shirt someday. We hope that day doesn't come, since Liverpool has had one too many players swap red shirts for (Chelsea) blue shirts recently.

It was unfortunate that Jack Rodwell's follow through tackle on Suarez after winning the ball was wrongfully judged to be a red card. But that's not Suarez's fault; Ref Atkinson is your guilty party. It's also not El Pistolero's fault that Phil Jagielka panicked and kick him in the box. That's Phil's problem to explain to you fans why he was so scared to let Suarez turn in the box.

But look at the bright side. You have a Hero too. His name is Tim Howard. He plays like a soldier and has earned the rights to wear battle fatigues.

He's my man of the match, if that's any consolation to you.
